Leeway's Domestic Abuse Awareness Training

Leeway has over 40 years’ experience working in the field of domestic abuse in Norfolk and given the high level of domestic abuse happening across our communities, we know that domestic abuse training is an  important part of tackling  this often hidden crime.Feedback from recent training included:“Really interesting, well delivered, supportive and considered.  Very good and much appreciated.”

Save the date: engagement events with NCC and Norfolk CCGs
8th - 13th March 2017
Community Action Norfolk are planning some events to explore how Clinical Commissioning Groups, Norfolk County Council and the Norfolk VCSE sector can work together for improved health of residents and how to reduce the barriers to working together. Dates for your diary are: 8th March for West Norfolk, 10th March for Central Norfolk and 13th March for East Norfolk. More details to follow.

Me & You Education: Two Extremes Ideology Course
27th - 29th March 2017
This free half day training course is organised by the Community Safety Partnership and it aims to educate professionals on preventing radicalisation. The session looks at current recruitment tactics and the role of social media as well as the ideological standpoint of both extremes (ISIS and Far Right). The sessions are delivered jointly by two very different individuals who start from their own divergent points but show that people can and do, work and live together despite their differences.

Leeway Conference
Date of Event/Training: 14.07.2017
Leeway’s annual conference is being held on Friday 14th July at Norwich City Football Club. The theme this year is ‘The impact of domestic abuse on children and young people’ and as well as a fabulous line up of guest speakers, there’s also a theatre production from Certain Curtain Theatre with their powerful short play ‘Lady in Red’.

Free Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub Briefing Sessions
September - November 2017
The Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) are offering FREE workshops which will provide visitors with a comprehensive understanding of how they work and how the partner agencies link together, as well as giving an insight in to each agency's responsibilities within the MASH.
